Year 6 Residential

This year we visited Oakerwood residential for an overnight stay. After our coach journey, we were so excited to get stuck in!

Our first activity was team building exercises. We attempted a rope line, obstacle course and other activities that required lots of trust in our team mates. This was so much fun and everyone was so brave trying new activities.

After this, we got ready for rafting. We learnt how to row as a team and competed in races against each other. Finally, we designed our own dance on the rafts – what a skill!

Following this, we went back to our pods and had to make our own beds, and played a good spirited game of football! Following dinner, we enjoyed an evening around the campfire (without the fire, due to the heat) playing campfire games.

After a restful sleep, we took part in Junior Paintball. We attempted 3 different courses that finished with an extreme game with zero kills. This was a real highlight of the trip. 

In the afternoon we took to the forest to ride the zipline, climb a 30ft tree, and climb a vertical obstacle course. The Gladiator. The children enjoyed this and were not shy to support everyone, including Mr Charlton. What a great residential!
