Alda porter

Alda Porter

Alda  has focused her energy within  a variety of statutory and voluntary sector settings for over 20 years with children,  families, individuals and communities  . Many of these roles have been focused on closing gaps and supporting individuals facing discrimination and inequality. Alda is currently working for the charity, Children Heard and Seen, which supports children with a parent in prison.

Alda's son joined Finstock in Year 2 and has thrived in the nurturing environment provided. Alda has enjoyed helping out with Cedar class attending Forest School sessions and is part of the FOFS committee who raise funds to enable sessions like this to go ahead for all the children at Finstock .

Marc Thompson

Marc is a former student of the school and former Local Committee Volunteer.

Marc has a passion for village life and community and believes that a village school is not just the heart but the soul of any small community.

Marc runs his own business which has strong social media marketing awareness and he is a huge believer in thinking outside the box to succeed.

Marc is also the Chair of Finstock Parish Council. 

Marc is the co-founder of White Tiger Martial Arts, where students gain confidence and self-belief, alongside fitness and self-defense, all valuable life skills. Alongside this. Marc coaches a former Finstock school student who is a 10 times world kickboxing champion and current England amateur boxer.
