Junior Citizenship
Each year Oxfordshire County Council invite our Year Six pupils to attend a 'Junior Citizens Workshop'. The aim of this experience is to provide education to our children on a wide range of health and safety issues.
During the workshop our children experience different safety scenarios and each child are given the opportunity to practise making a 999 telephone call. The learning sessions are interactive, and children are taught a variety of life skills which focus upon how to keep themselves safe whilst potentially helping others who may be in difficulty or distress. Based on the controlled learning experiences provided, children are encouraged to make decisions which they may face during a real-life emergency.
