Children in Need 2024

Together with Queen Emma's Primary school, we raised £119.50!

Children in Need supports children in the community across the UK. They fund amazing people in family centres, community spaces, youth clubs and refuges, homeless shelters, hospices and helplines. This year, we fundraised for Children in Need by asking children to wear something spotty in exchange for a suggested donation, and took part in Maths and Dance challenges throughout the day!

World Mental Health Day 2024

On Thursday 10th October, we celebrated World Mental Health Day by taking part in 'Hello Yellow Day', supporting YoungMinds. YoungMinds is the UK's leading charity championing the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Driven by their experience, YoungMinds creates change so that children and young people can cope with life's adversities, find help when needed and succeed in life.

As a school, we raised £20.01 for YoungMinds!

Our chosen charity: World Vision

Our school council researched and chose a Christian Charity to support. Their choice was World Vision.

Who are World Vision?

World Vision are a Christian Charity that help children – of all faiths and none – in some of the world's most dangerous places. They believe it takes a whole community to create happy and fulfilling childhoods and work together with communities so they're empowered to do just that.

Their integrated approach includes providing water, healthcare, education, child protection, and income generation. Working across almost 100 countries, their aim is to provide every child with the opportunity to fulfil their God-given potential.

Why did we choose World Vision?

"We chose World Vision because we have learnt lots about how children across the world don't always have the same as us. We want everyone to have the same choices and opportunities as us. God wants us to look after everybody and make sure they all have water, food, and school. Raising money for World Vision helps us looks after the world and all of God's creation." School Council
